BSL Recognition Day
Today we celebrated 18 years since the UK government recognised British Sign Language (BSL) as an official language in our country. (18th March 2003). We enjoyed a watching a fantastic presentation by Dr Kate Rowley about the BSL marches and the campaign to get BSL recognised in the UK. We also enjoyed some fun BSL games and activities and ended the day with a BSL birthday cake! Happy Birthday BSL! Many thanks to our Deaf Instructor, Mischa Cooke, for organising the day so brilliantly!
