Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant (SEN)
Salary: Scale 5; point range 12–15
Salary: £27,091 (pro rata) per annum; (£31,980 FTE)
Hours: 34hrs p/w (Term time only), Mon-Fri
Contract: Specific task, linked to child’s EHCP, reviewed annually, to start September 2026.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant with minimum BSL Level 2 skills, good behaviour management skills and knowledge/experience of working with young Deaf children with complex learning needs in the Early Years Foundation Stage / Key Stage 1/2 SEN class.

We are committed to safeguarding children, and any appointment is subject to satisfactory checks and references. The position will require an Enhanced DBS check, including a barred list check. The post is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (as amended in 2013 & 2020). This means that applicants are not required to disclose details of any youth cautions or ‘protected’ criminal convictions, adult cautions or bind-overs they may have incurred. The school will carry out an online search on applicants as part of due diligence checks in order to identify any historical incidents that may need to be addressed during the interview.
