Job Title:             1:1 Teaching Assistant

Salary:                  Level 2, Scale 4 (range 18-21)                                                                    

Salary:                  £22,377 FTE

Hours:                  34hrs p/w (Term time)

Contract:             Temporary post to start ASAP (linked to child’s EHCP)

We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed person with a minimum of BSL Level 2 skills, good literacy and numeracy skills and experience of working with young Deaf children.  The post is to support the learning of a specific child with additional language and learning needs currently in Key Stage 2.

This post is temporary, linked to the child’s Education Health Care Plan. Successful applicants are subject to an enhanced DBS check.

FOFB (Friends of Frank Barnes) is the charitable arm of Frank Barnes School for Deaf children.

We are looking for fun and enthusiastic individuals who would be interested in joining our team of parents, staff and members of the community from a minimum of a year to provide a valuable contribution to our fundraising efforts.

We would only expect you to volunteer your time for one meeting every 6 – 10 weeks and possibly any fundraising activities or events we organise. Some experience would be useful but this is not essential. We only ask that you have a passion for raising money for Deaf children living in London.
