1:1 Teaching Assistant (x2 full time vacancies)

Job Title:              1:1 Teaching Assistant

Salary:                  Level 2, Scale 4; point range 7-10                                                                            

Salary:                  £24,915 (pro-rata) per annum; £29,412 (FTE)

Hours:                  34hrs p/w (Term time only), Mon-Fri

Contract:             Fixed-term, linked to child’s EHCP, reviewed annually, with a possible extension to start in September 2024.



We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed 1:1 teaching assistant with minimum BSL Level 2 skills, good behaviour management skills and knowledge/experience of working with young Deaf children with additional or complex needs (ASD) in the Early Years Foundation Stage or Key Stage 1/2.

We are committed to safeguarding children and any appointment is subject to satisfactory checks and references. The position will require an Enhanced DBS check including a barred list check. The post is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (as amended in 2013 & 2020). This means that applicants are not required to disclose details of any youth cautions or ‘protected’ criminal convictions, adult cautions or bind-overs they may have incurred. The school will carry out an online search on applicants as part of due diligence checks in order to identify any historical incidents that may need to be addressed during the interview.
